KiwiCool was delighted to work with Impact Interiors on the staff cafe and kitchen in the new MC Centre in central Auckland. The brief for this innovative new office space was that MC staff should be assured they were working in the very best work environment in Aotearoa New Zealand – simple, right?!
With this lofty brief in mind KiwiCool and Impact Interiors worked together to fit out the staff kitchen and new cafe, Te Kāuta, with specialised commercial refrigeration solutions that give the MC staff exactly what they need, when they need it – whether that’s the chilled milk for their morning flat white from their Skope cabinet fridge, a safe and friendly place to keep their lunch cool in the Skope glass door storage fridges, and even the Starline dishwashers that help keep the whole area clean and sanitary. A number of our refrigeration solutions were designed to blend seamlessly into the beautiful artwork by Charles and Janine Williams, which celebrates Aotearoa’s natural environment from before the arrival of the first waka to the present day.
Also vital was ensuring the refrigeration solutions provided were environmentally thoughtful and actively contributed to the new MC offices achieving a six star rating under the New Zealand Green Building Council’s Green Star programme. Further to this, the solutions had to be designed with MC’s stated bolder, more holistic approach to wellbeing in mind, which saw them looking to achieve platinum WELL v2 Certification from the International WELL Building Institute – the first New Zealand professional services firm to do so. KiwiCool’s thoughtful refrigeration solutions, using top of the line Skope and Starline models, were designed to help MC achieve this goal in several of the ten concepts that the standards measure, including nourishment, thermal comfort and sound.
